- Charles-Eric Gogny was born in Paris in 1957.
Since childhood he did not cease imagining, drawing, assembling or modelling the forms
-1976: begin in the illustration with the youth magazine "Okapi"
- Continues simultaneously his artistic studies at the Decorative Arts School in Paris.
Diploma of animated film and video in 1980.
- Fascinated by the biological forms and their genesis, he follows also the courses of
"anatomy" at the Fine-Art school.
-1976/1990: generally in collaboration with his fellow Marc Bellan, he continues to work as an
illustrator for the youth press and advertising.
-1991/1997: the cinema production co.Ex-Machina calls upon its talent to realize sculptures
of characters in real volume, necessary for early 3D films.
Attracted by the magic of the new tool, he formed with modeling on computer and sails
between drawing, sculpture and virtual volume, creating characters and decorations for the
3D cinema or video games.
-1996: installs his studio in a shop of the 14° district of Paris, where he confronts directly his
creations to the public eye.
-2009: his health no longer allows him to take orders for new creations. However one can
order bronzes from his existing sculptures, or original digital images on photo paper.
